Caregiver University: Who Pays for All This?

December 19 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm MST

Has your family been touched by Alzheimers disease and/or dementia? Here is help in a friendly and informal atmosphere. Alzheimers disease and dementia have traditionally been considered taboo topics in everyday conversation. However, as more and more Americans receive these diagnoses, the need for education, support, and resources is growing. Join us to discuss the ins and outs of paying for care. We will discuss Medicaid, Medicare, Long Term Care insurance, and various programs designed to support those who need help at home. IU Health Alzheimers Educator Dayna Thompson will address these needs in a way that helps caregivers feel connected, knowledgeable, and capable of supporting their loved one. Lunch will be provided free by the IU Health Alzheimers Resource Service. The class is free, but registration is required. Register by calling the library at 812-275-4471.
