Vonnegut at 100: A Century of Stories Presentation (Adult Services)

Celebrate Hoosier Author Kurt Vonnegut!  He is considered one of the greatest American writers of the 20th century, known for his works like Slaughterhouse-Five and Cat's Cradle. Celebrating Vonnegut's turning 100 in the month of November, the library will be hosting the presentation Vonnegut at 100: A Century of Stories presented by Chris Lafave of the Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library on November 1st from 6 pm to 7 pm.  This adult educational program is for anyone interested in learning more about this iconic author.

Train your brain and sharpen your cognitive ability with this kit from Adult Services.  Starting November 7 pick up your kit on the Adult floor complete with resource packet, brain games and challenges, and a daily tracker .  Complete the 14 day challenge tracker by training your brain every day for 14 days, then bring it to the Adult Services desk for a reward!  While supplies last. 

International Flavors: Soup in a Jar

Memory Cafe – Recipe Swap (Adult Services)

Whether it is your grandma's secret recipe for buttermilk biscuits or the most unusual desert you have ever made, on November 7 from 1 pm to 2 pm bring in your favorite or most memorable recipe to share with the group.  Participants will be given an opportunity to not only share the recipe, but the memories that go with it.  Memory Cafe is a safe and comfortable environment where anyone can come socialize and share memories and experiences.
